Hi girls...
Well I start Clomid again today after missing out last cycle due to AF's untimely arrival during our vacation!!!
Anyway, previously I was told my dr wanted to do an HSG once this cycle bagan (which I have had done before so I know what to expect) but today the nurse said he wants me to have an ultrasound done to see what the follicles are doing and that this happens around CD 13. Is this the same thing as an HSG or something different?

TIA for your help.

The HSG is a dye injection and x-ray to look for blockages or anomolies in your uterus and tubes. The follicle scan is simply an ultrasound of your ovaries to see that your eggies are growing as they should. It will tell them whether the eggs are maturing and ready for ovualation - an indication the clomid worked. If they eggs aren't maturing for ovulation, you may need a higher clomid dose.

Hope that helps!

Thanks so much, Candie!
My "normal" cycles are 25 days long with my O'ing around CD 10 or 11. What will this mean for my follicle scan??? Does anyone know??

My last cyle on clomid I had a 45 day cylce with mid-cycle spotting. It's unclear as to when I O'd but my Progesterone level was 19 on CD 21 meaning I had O'd so I'm thinking I O'd around CD 16 which would be good for the follicle scan if that happens again.

sigh
