I O'd on the 30th, but I still have been having some lower abdominal bloating and discomfort, plus I've been peeing like crazy, gettin up 2-3 in the middle of the night to pee...Has this ever happened to any of you girls? And my boobs got bigger which is really weird The only thing I can think is that it's b/c of the Clomid.... Can you still have side effects after you've taken all the pills and have ovulated? (if these even are side effects)

I've only been on Clomid one month, but when I ovulated I was in so much pain. I had an HSG test the week before and was pretty sore from that, but when it came time to O I started hurting worse than before. I don't know if it was the Clomid or not, but I can say I'm 4 dpo and feeling almost back to normal now. My boobs did get a little bigger maybe. I'm also taking Novarel injections. Sorry I'm not much help, I actually have the same question as you!

I think that's pretty common. When I O'd i was in so mych pain DH actually called an ambulance and I ended up in the ER because of the pain (the morphine helped!). As for other Sx - abdominal swelling, breast tenderness etc....all side effects of the Clomid. I found when AF finally showed is when the Sx went away.

Good Luck!

Thanks.

This is my second cycles since that and I've been unmedicated - I see the RE next week to find out what we can do next.

I want to add a couple of things. I'm on my 4th cycle of Clomid after a 4 cycle break from the 1st 3 rounds. Here is what I went through w/ each cycle. Hopefully this will help...

1st Cycle on Clomid
*Generic brand
*Started experiencing hot flashes on the 3rd day of Clomid
*Noticed O pains right around O time, 1st time ever to feel them
*Oed on CD 18
*Very tender where ovaries are located, crampy
*Bloated
*Little to no CM prior, during & after O
*1 week prior to AF, had MAJOR CM, very creamy
*LP length was 2 days longer, 16 total
*Temps after O stayed elevated

2nd Cycle on Clomid
*AF was a short 3 days w/ 1 day of spotting
*CM hardly there but did have a little EWCM at around O
*O pains
*Elevated temps
*Oed on CD 19
*Not so many cramps this time around
*Temps stayed elevated
*Otherwise similar to 1st round

3rd Cycle on Clomid
*VERY EMOTIONAL!!!!!
*AF was short again
*No cramping
*HORRIBLE hot flashes
*O pains
*Elevated temps after O
*Oed on CD 21

I wanted to share this w/ you. The ovaries are overstimulated when taking Clomid & can cause cysts. Most drs do not like women to take Clomid for more than 3 cycles w/o being checked regularly for cyst formation. If you are having quite a bit of pain, it may be that you have a cyst due to the Clomid. I would call your dr immediately & let them know what you are experiencing.

Also, the tender breasts & other pregnancy like symptoms are common w/ Clomid. Being bloated is a classic symptom. I would recommend not eating lots of salt & drinking plenty of water. I gained about 7lbs those 3 cycles.

I hope this all helps!

I have had symptoms after O too. I usually have this achiness and my ovaries kind of feel swollen after O for a couple days. Sometimes boob soreness, hot flashes, and headaches.

What Clomid does is trick your brain into producing more hormones and those hormones don't disappear as soon as you O, so it is normal to still have symptoms and side effects.
