I got a very large amount of ewcm on Monday and got 2 postive digital OPKs on Tuesday. DH and I bded on Sun, Mon, Tues and Weds.

I think I o'd on Wednesday, as I had o pains all day and became very dry by the evening (sorry TMI).

However, I had pains in my ovaries today and my lower abdomen felt very heavy. Is this the effect of clomid or could I have a cyst?

Thanks in advance

not sure, but I have been having the same symptoms for a few days now. But today has been really painful. Off and on pains in both ovaries. I know the egg released from the left ovary. Then I had enough cramping pain in my lower abdomen (pelvic area) to take some IBuprofen but did not...all day. Woke up with it a few times last night and then off and on today. Maybe this is a good sign for us.

I heard it was normal to feel cramps in the 2ww even if your not pg. I had some BAD O pains when I ovulated. So bad it woke me up and I couldnt get back to sleep. I have had them off and on, not as bad since then.

For everyone....

-What is the dosage of Clomid that you are taking?

I ask, I had severe s/e on 100mg of Clomid (cd3-7).
-abdominal swelling (quite distended)
-tender breasts
-cramping (even in my sleep - at one point felt as if my ovary tripled in size in a matter of seconds)
-heavy bloaty feeling.....

AND the icing on the cake, cd14 (which was O time), I ended up in the ER (via ambulance) with cramps so bad all I could do was cry and be doubled over in pain.

So, depending on the dosage, and the severity, I'd say some of it is normal, however, you could be having OHSS if it is a larger dose.

This is my 5th cycle of clomid and i am on 50mg.
I do suffer quite bad cramping around O but see that as a good sign that i have O'd.
I do wonder sometimes though, if the egg is getting stuck in the tube.
i will know this soon as the Dr will no doubt send me for a tubal dye test.

Good luck and i hope you got the eggie

Sarah, have you had the dye test done prior to having Clomid prescribed?

One would think a responsible Doctor would rule out any other underlying condtions prior to prescribing the Clomind (IMHO).

I experienced those exact same pains. I'm on the 50 mg dose. Any pain I've experienced along the way I could not care any less about because in the end it will result in a miracle!!!!! Lots of luck to you!!!
