I am researching information on luteal phase defects caused by low progesterone before I go back to my doctor next week. Are any of you taking clomid to help with this or did you go the progesterone route (cream/pills/injectibles)?

Thanks in advance!!!

I have heard of ladies taking Clomid for this and it being quite successful. Personally I am taking Clomid but it is more for the help with ovulation. However, I have noticed that it has lengthened my LP by a couple of days.

I would definately bring it up with your dr. if you are concerned about your LP. Some other natural things that can help your LP are vitamin B6 and natural progesterone cream. You can get these at a vitamin store and even some Walmarts.

Thanks Leah (BTW, your chart is looking mighty fine ). I am taking extra B6 this month but haven't looked into the cream. I know we can get wild yam in Canada OTC but not sure about straight progesterone cream (and I don't know that wild yam cream actually works after reading up on it). I am hoping to go for a blood test to check my prog levels on 7 DPO if I can get in to see my doc on time.

Sounds like you have done your research. Having the progesterone check at 7 DPO is a great idea. It gives you useful info about your ovulation and hormone levels. Let us know the results when you go. I had mine done this cycle and it came back at 20. 7 which was higher than the last time I was on Clomid. Yay!

Thanks for stalking my chart. I still have my fingers crossed.
