I'm so relieved! I hope no one minds but I x-posted this in a couple of places. I know most of you have been keeping up w/ my ttc journey & know that we just started going to an RE to get some answers as to why it is taking so long to conceive. Well, besides the age thing...I'm 31 & DH is 38 (it takes an average of 8-10 months to conceive at this age), I was curious what else was going on. I had a feeling that the D&C & the evil Clomid had thinned the lining of my uterus. Call it a gut feeling. Guess it was right! I went in yesterday & on each ovary there were 2 pretty follicles. 1 measured just under 20, the other just under 19. We were thinking of using a trigger shot & getting those babies released but after the nurse talked to the dr he decided to prescribe me some estrogen (estriodol, sp?) that I had to take orally BUT not through the mouth if you know what I mean ! He thinks that is the only way to get my cervix to absorb enough to help the lining out this cycle otherwise it is basically a no chance cycle.

What I am THANKFUL for is that there were 2 follicles & that my gut feeling was right. I feel so much better now! On to the SA!!!!!

Astrid, I'm so glad you got some good news! Hopefully that estrogen will do the trick. Good luck!

Isn't it great to finally get some answers?

Good luck on your journey - and tell DH to 'make nice' with the little plastic jar! (My DH HATES that part!)

Get to BDing girl. Those follicles should ovulate in the next day or two. I tried some Red Rasberry Women's Tea that I found at the grocery store and I think thats helping with my lining. It also got kind of thin after the first two rounds of Clomid. The dr also had me on an estrogen patch and I think that helped too.

Good luck. I hope this is your lucky cycle.

I wish I knew exactly, but I don't. When the doctor told me my lining was a little thin I looked on here and on the net. I read that it is supposed to help thicken the lining, so I thought I would try it. On the box of the tea I have it talks about helping with your cycle and toning the uterus, whatever that means. I guess I will try just about anything.
