I just started taking Clomid for my 2nd month. I'm confused because when I went to pick up my prescription, it was half the dose of last month (from 100 to 50). I don't know if it's a mistake or..? My blood tests last month looked "good" according to the doctors, so I don't know why they would change my dose. I wish I knew what my progesterone level was, but it's not on my record that I can see. I do see a prolactin level of 8, I don't think it's the same thing though.

Does anyone know if this sounds right or could be a mistake? I have the worst time trying to get through to my doctor. Their phone system is broken, so when you call to leave a message, the message box is full. It's been this way for at least 2 months. I have to get a message through by calling my OB (not the one at the fertility clinic), and he has to send a message to the fertility clinic. It takes days. And then all I get is one phone call, and if I'm not available to pick up, the whole process has to start all over again. Thanks ladies I appreciate it!

Hmmm...sounds like it could have been a mistake. I would go ahead & call for sure. It is better to be safe than sorry.

How many pills are there? Are there five or ten pills? Sometimes they give 10 pills at 50mg each and you take two a day to get the 100mg dosage (five days worth). If that is not the case, then they probably messed up. How frustrating about the phone thing. That would drive me nutts. I would probably be showing up in the office, if I couldn't even leave a message or talk to someone.

Thanks ladies! Though dang it, it's too late, I had to start taking these things Saturday night. I hope a half dose is better than none. Alexa, they gave me 5 pills, though last month they gave me 10. Hmmm. I think I'll use your idea & show up at the clinic!

well its got to be better than nothing. I wonder what your progesterone was last cycle. maybe it was like crazy high or something so they figure the 50 will still work. Good luck!

oh and i want to add..my progesterone on 50mg back in april was 58 and then last month on 100mg it was only 21
