As you know, I've been going for daily follicle scans and blood work. I found out yesterday that I have 2 follicles growing and was told that they were 1.1 and 1.0 in size. Now I've looked everywhere online to find out any info on follicle size but everything is in mm and I'm not sure what measurement my RE uses. When I had my cycle monitoring in September I was told that I had 1 follicle and it was 1.9 on CD 14, and she liked to see them larger than 1.8. This was my 1st cycle on clomid and I took 50mg from CD's 3-7.

So my question is...is this a normal size for CD10? I'm going to ask tomorrow when I show up for my scan and blood work, but I'm anxious and just wanted to inquire before hand.

Sounds normal to me. The measurements they are given you are in centimetres. I was told by my docs that they want 2.0 - 2.5 at the time of retrieval (equal to time of ovulation). For my fresh cycles they start monitoring the follices around CD9 or 10 and they are usually around the 1.0 mark at that point. By the time they are that size, they grow at .2cm (or 2mm) a day. Hope that helps, good luck with your follow up tomorrow!

Thanks for the info. I found out this morning that there is no change in size from the other day.

I don't understand this. I had no issues when I O'd on my own, but throw a round of clomid in the mix and I seem to progress backwards!?! I'm so disheartened and really pray that things start to improve. I don't want this cycle to be a bust.

That stinks that they have not grown. When is your next scan?

I'm sorry you didn't get the best of news today, Nicole, but hang in there! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you that tomorrow's scan shows some growth. Good luck!

Thanks...I'm praying for a miracle. I hate how things are such a roller coaster right now.

I know what you mean! I don't have to go in as often as you but the last couple of months I have had so much bloodwork done that my poor veins are hiding too!

Well...no change, and my estrogen levels were only around 250 so that explains why there's been no growth. I'm praying that the acupuncture session yesterday did some good and hopefully when I go in tomorrow my numbers will increase.

The nurse wasn't too concerned and said that I could just O late which isn't normal for me. This clomid stuff is for the birds I say!
