I was just referred by my docter to a fertility center due to the findings of my HSG (tubes blocked). I feel like falling on the floor and crying. I don't know why since I've known the tubes were bloced since last week. I just thought we'd do a tubal cannulation first and see what happens.

Can anyone tell me what I can expect. Its a consult.

they asked us a multitude of questions and ordered some blood work.
Then I go back and have a full physical and pap smear since it has been just over a year since my last one.

its really not that bad alot of talking but if the doctor is anything like the one I saw he/she will put you right at ease.

does your clinic have a website? mine has a website that explains what will happen.

Awe...I'm sorry hun. That first referral can really throw you for a loop. You're not a failure and shouldn't feel bad. The great news is you know what's up and can form a plan of action from there.

My 1st visit was a get to know you meeting. We went over my medical history and what tests had been done. Then My RE told me what further tests and procedures she wanted to do. A RE will provide you with the best possible care and are up to date on the lastest info and treatments.

We're here for ya hun. We've all got different experiences and issues but a common sense of understanding. (((hugs)))

I'm sorry too I walked out of our first visit feeling the same way. I think it's totally natural. Hopefully you're doctor will be able to make you feel like completely comfortable and like you're really getting somewhere TTC like mine did. She was so thorough and explained everything to us in detail and never even looked annoyed when I asked 100 questions about "what if...?" It's not so bad after the first visit I promise and I got to the point shortly after where now I look forward to going in every other day because I know each time I'm doing something that will get us closer to that BFP we're dreaming of!
Good Luck!!
