So my "symptoms" are very gasy, no bowel movements to speak of, insomnia, hot flashes, peeing all the time..

do you think 10 days pasy iui is enough time to get a BFP?

i'm scared.....

You're on the borderline for being able to get a BFP on an HPT. That being said, I am a self proclaimed POAS-a-holic, so I know if I were you, I'd be breaking down.

I think the key is, if you do decide to test early, is to prepare yourself if it does come back negative to not let it get to you. If you think it would, then wait.

Whatever you decide, be sure to let us know how it goes!! GOOD LUCK!

Boy, this is a tough one b/c I am also a POAS but have been refraining from testing BEFORE 12 dpo. Either way, just like Gillian said, if you do test, prepare for the likely possibility of a BFN. I hope the IUI worked!

Oh Norrina.. BFN???!!!

you're right, you still have plenty of time to get the BFP..

(you caved without me you sneaky poas'er)

I dont know how I'll react if its a BFN.. so I'm thinking I'll wait till Friday.. it'll be 12 days then..
that's plenty of time, no?

I'm a POAS pusher/enabler and notorious for testing early, so you know I won't saying "don't do it"! Like everybody else said, the key is bracing yourself for a BFN and remember that if you get a BFN it's because it's early. Other than that...enjoy!

LOL you ladies crack me up... I on the other hand am the EXACT OPOSITE! I am a POAS Procrastonater.... I would wait nine months without a period before testing if i could. I HATE seeing that BFN, it just triggers something in side me, and i get sooooo sad
SO, i would tell you to wait wait wait.

step away from the sticks, ladies!!!!

the 2WW is the hardest part of this whole process. the last time i was pg i POAS at 6DPO! i wanted that bfp so much! it wasn't BFP for 8 more days! but then i m/c, but that's another story.

i'm 7 DPO today and i am overanalyzing every little ache, pain, yawn, trip to the bathroom. and i'm using the progesterone suppositories, so any hint of a symptom is probably from that.

this part is sooooooo hard!!!

After Norrina's post about the stats of BFP's during "early" tests.. I am not testing till at least Friday which will be 12 days past IUI.. and even then if I get a BFN.. I'll test again Saturday and Sunday.. or until I see that ###### BFP!!

I havent bought any HPT's yet.. casue with me.. have stick will pee!

Lucy- I am glad my stats got you to step away from the sticks and not do what I did

Beans- I took progesterone supp. once and I felt so betrayed when I ahd all the symptoms and no BFP...so beware and don't let that little med trick you.

I am not buying anymore HPT's until Sat night so I can take on Sunday morning.

I wish us all sanity!
