Yea!!! I'm glad you started this thread b/c if not, I was going to, LMAO! Great minds think alike!

Love is in the air ! What will you be doing today to celebrate Valentine's?

DH & I have a carb splurge planned so I am really excited! He is so great! We are going to Sonic, getting ourselves fast food dinner & then a Sweetheart Shake to end the evening. This is all going to be done picnic style on the floor in front of the fireplace which of course will be on since it is about 30 degrees outside right now! I haven't had the chance to get DH anything so after I get out of school, I will be RUSHING to Target in hopes of finding the perfect card & a little present.

I got my Valentine's gift last night for some reason. He has a late meeting on Wednesdays, so I think he was afraid there would be no flowers left. lol. He got me a dozen red roses and a planted orchid. You see, he really doesn't like doing the flower thing and claims there's not much point to buying "dead", as he puts it, flowers - meaning fresh cut to the rest of us. So, the got me the planted orchid and said now you get some dead flowers and some living ones. Too funny. He also got this delicious chocolate cheesecake...yummy.

We usually go out for dinner, but not on Valentine's Day itself - we'll go out sometime this weekend instead. Even if we wanted too, there is a lot of snow here this morning and most people aren't going anywhere.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Awww, well my day started out with a bunch of cute valentines from all my cute two year olds at school. Then when I came home DH, had everything candle lit around some cute presents he picked out that remanist about the way we met. He bought the movie that we watched when we first held hands, Made a hand made card for me. And a long time ago I told him that all a girl needs for valentines day is something soft and something sweet. So he got me a cute stuffed animal and chocolates, labeling them "something soft and something sweet" It was really cute. His card was so sweet it made me cry... or maybe it is all these stinkin hormones... lol

We're staying in tonight and making fondue! It's romantic and SOOO easy... no cooking skill needed! We're doing a cheese fondue with bread and apples, then for the main course a fondue with chicken, steak, potatoes, mushrooms, and broccoli. For dessert (if we still have any room left) we're making chocolate chip cookies with ice cream on top! I'm so excited. DH isn't into presents so much, so I don't think I'll be getting anything. But the nice meal will be good.

Sounds like everyone is having a great day and going to have a great evening! My hubby also gave me my 'gifts' last night. He bought me a dozen roses, teddy bear (we collect these from year to year), candy and an earring/necklace set! He's a sweety! Tonight, we were invited to 'double date' with our 16yo DD and her boyfriend!!! She's only been able to date for a couple of weeks, so imagine my surprise when they invited us to go along tonight!! LOL Of course, I HAD to harass her and tell her they were only taking us to pick up the bill!! LOL We're going to a nice little Italian Restaurant! I thought it was sweet of her! I'm telling ya, I love that child as if I gave birth to her! And I thank God each and every day that He gave she and her daddy to me!! Now we just need a little 'peanut'!! Have a GREAT evening!!

aww thanks, yea... i guess I should keep him around
I usually don't think much of v-day... especially if he asks me what i want. I just say "dont bother, it's just another day" but when the day actually comes around I am thankful that he does what he does for me, cuz I'll bet I would end up wishing he did something for me... and he probably knows it lol... that just goes to show how pathetic I am...
We are both hopless romantics....
