I start clomid today and just wondering if you take it in the morning, at night?? I plan to use pre-seed when we BD to help with the CM. I know that I O each month, but my progesterone isn't great, so she is thinking my O's are not strong and healthy/mature enough, so she wants to try this. Any advice anyone wants to share? I'll be on 50mg. Any success stories at 50mg or is 50 practically useless?

i was on 50 for three months and it did work for my progesterone, but i didn't get pregnant. i'm still on 50 this time around though since i O'd and my progesterone was good, my dr won't up the dosage. but i've heard a lot of sucess stories with just the 50, so i think it's just me that's hopeless lol! the only advice is to take it at night or the hot flashes will kill you! good luck!! hope it works for you!

I take mine at night to help curb any side effects. I've been done with mine for a few days and I still get the hot flashes! That's what mine does to me and being a tad emotional too. Everyone is different though, GL to you. 50mg or 200mg depends on the person...you could have luck with 50 and someone else will need 100. Regardless though, GL to you and keep positive!

I took mine at night. My DR. suggested it to help curb the s/e but I'm not real sure how much it helped becuase I had s/e full force.

well all i can say is make sure you take it the same time everyday that you need too, i take mine at night.... so that i don't have to deal with the ht flashes as much.... I do suggest laying in some tylenol or mortin, in case your like me and get some seriously bad cramps when your gonna o... good luck!

Thanks ladies. I took my first one last night and so far, no side effects. Do the side effects come during taking clomid days 5-9 or do they come when you O?

I hope it works for you!!!
I started my first round of Clomid (50mg) this cycle and I wasnt told when to take it so I took it in the mornings at about 8am.The ONLY side effects I had were being VERY Tired the 5 days I was taking it,then NOTHING
I was expecting so much more! lol.I am currently on CD35 and today (no AF yet) Im going to collect my progesterone results today to see if I O´d...which I hope I did because with no side effects I was wodering if it had done anything at all! lol.
My OB said that she has had women get pregnant on 25mg of Clomid,so 50mg is deffinately a good dose
It just depends on your body kwim? Iv heard of women being on the highest dose (200mg) and it not working, yet women on 25mg have had wonderful results
Oh..you may cramp a little more at the end of your cycle (when AF is due) whilst on Clomid.Iv been cramping for DAYS now and boy do they hurt!! Im expecting AF any day (hopefully).
