I saw in another post that someone said if you had a 10 point level that you did not ovulate? Why did my doctor tell me anything over a 4 is positive ovulation?? My levels were at a 9 something and she said I ovulated and said she wouldn't take me up 100 mg because I'm ovulating.

I had a friend say something really rude to me about her levels being a little higher OFF medication. It actually spurred a conversation with my doctor because I was upset thinking my levels needed to be higher. My doc said that I did not need to have a "super ovulation" to get pregnant and not to worry. Now I'm confused about the levels after reading the post.

Thoughts?

I don't know all that much about progesterone levels but 4 does sound low to me... according to this link anything over 5 shows natural ovulation but doctor's like to see 10 on an unmedicated cycle (15 on a medicated).

Yes, that's why she said that anything over 4 is ovulation. I was at a 9 something. She said I ovulated though...

This is what I"m confused about. If someone who is not medicated ovulated at a 8-10 naturally why would that be bad of someone who is medicated ovulated at the natural number? It would still mean they ovulated right?

Hey, just to let you know. My doctor said the SAME exact thing. He told me that anything over 6 was a good indicator of ovulation. My first round I had a level of 10.6, then this round it was 17.4. and he said those were all in the normal.
I think you are just fine. It's hard to know what to trust and what to disregaurd on the internet.

Thank you both for your help! Its frustraing and scary to think that all this would be for nothing. I hope that this month I'll be higher or heck get pregnant would be nice! I'll aim for higher numbers first and see where that gets me.

Thanks again for your help!
