I'm thinking of buying a CBEFM for next cycle. Does taking clomid interfere with the results at all? May be a silly question, but I don't want to buy it now if it does since I'll be doing clomid next cycle.

Thanks in advance ladies!

Thanks. I tried to find your post but wasn't able to locate it. I did do some more research though and found this answer in case anyone else is interested on the Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor FAQ section.

You may still use the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor if you are taking Clomid®, but please be aware that Clomid® may affect the Monitor's interpretation of your fertility status.

While using Clomid®, High Fertility may start early in your cycle and you may have more High days because of the increased levels of estrogen. The display of Peak Fertility may also be affected. Peak Fertility is primarily dependent on the detection of a significant increase in luteinizing hormone, also known as the LH surge. However, because Clomid can cause unusually high estrogen levels, in some cases the Monitor may not show Peak Fertility even when you are ovulating

ARe your cycles normal? The best thing to do is use OPKs since they measure LH only but don't use them too early (usually w/i 2-3 days of taking your last dose) b/c you will get a false +. Also, you may want to temp just in case so that you have some data to fall back on if you don't get pg this cycle. You will at least know when you Oed & then use that info for next cycle.

Yes, my cycles are normal...28 days, but I O late, have a short LP, and spot 5 days before AF. I am doing BBT and will continue when I start Clomid next cycle too. We're on our own this month, but next month I'll have bloodwork, an HSG and start clomid. I ordered the CBEFM but will continue with OPK too. Thanks so much for the input!
