Ladies,
First round of clomid this month and I always O on my own, but maybe just not strong enough, so they want to try 50mg. of clomid. I have no side effects except hot flashes at night, so does that mean 50 is too low since everyone else seems to get tons of side effects, major moodiness, etc. I have had none of that and hot flashes are minimal. I am on CD9 today, so it's my last night of taking a clomid pill, Days 5-9. Any thoughts? Anyone else not get much side effects? Does this mean its not working?

Hi,
Im taking 50mg clomid right now cycle days 3-7 and I havent had any s/e. I also took it last year in july and i still didnt have any moodiness, or hot flashes. I think some women get them and some dont, doesnt mean its not working. I use clomid with my IUI's so I know it worked even w/out the s/e because they did a ultrasound the day before my IUI and i had 2 beautiful follicles and one that was lagging just a tad behind. I also O on my own. So i wouldnt worry to much about not getting s/e just count yourself one of the lucky ones! lol

I would not worry about lack of symptoms.
Sounds like you have just been lucky up to now
I was on 50mg for 6 cycles and i was a total b**ch
I have always suffered terrible pms though and i have a short temper at the
best of times

Most of the ladies with severe side effects are on much higher doses, so don't worry.

Hope it works for you!

Sarah

My S/E's didn't kick in right away either - then out of the blue OMG, I was either crying or screaming.

Evil, evil clomid

I had little to no S/E too and I had the same thought that maybe it wasn't working... but I ended up having FOUR fully mature follicles (more than typical). So no, the amount/strength of side effects does not correlate to its effectiveness!

Hey there,

I had some s/e's this month much more than last month. I don't think that means though it is not working by any means. I think some women just get them and some do not... Plus, the effects of Clomid are in your cycle for a long time so those s/e's could come up on you at any point. But hopefully you missed them! GL to you!!

I had quite the hot flashes but more so a few days after having taken my last dose. It could be that your body is handling it well & it could be that you won't get them for another few days. Just don't let your guard completely down & then get whacked! Keep an eye on things & notice little pangs of pain around your ovaries. I had never had O pains until on Clomid. You may also feel a bit bloated but it will all pass.

I took it 5-9 too and didn't really have any issues. Today I'm a crab though! Today is 10. Hmm....wonder if that's why?
