i went in for my baseline ultrasound on saturday. i'm scheduled for my CD 12 ultrasound on Feb 27. I'll be getting the trigger shot and IUI at some point later next week.

the dr (i had never seen this guy before) said i had three good follicles and that i should respond well with the clomid and trigger shot.

he said it looks like i have what is known as 'delayed ovulation' because i don't ovulate until at least CD 18 each month. he said this causes miscarriage and difficulty conceiving. he said that if the clomid and trigger shot don't work then i should do the injectibles. some people only respond to those.

his goal is to shorten up the front end of my cycle.

i really hope the trigger shot does the trick.

for once i feel a glimpse of hope, that we now have a serious game plan that will help, not just take a stab at a theory.

thanks everyone!

the doc said that my body is ready to ovulate around day 12 or so, but i'm not acutally releasing the egg until day 18. by the time the little egg comes out, it's old because it sat around too long.

basically, my hormones are off. a lot of times delayed ovulation is caused by stress. like everything else in my life, i blame my job!!!

and christin, i look forward to being cycle buddies with you! hopefull we'll be getting bfps this month!!!

I love hearing about good plans! I'm the plan queen - if I don't have one, I always feel a bit lost.

I really hope this does the trick for you this cycle and you get your BFP.

Good luck!
