So, w/ all the dark clouds looming, having to postpone this cycle, something FINALLY went right today. Just in case some of you don't know, I was dx w/ insulin resistance, moderate, about 2 weeks ago. The next day was our appt to learn how to do injections, a follicle scan to verify there were no cysts, AND then to meet w/ the nutritionist. BIG DAY! I was totally overwhelmed & also VERY heartbroken that they recommended that we hold off this cycle. I had already waited 3 months & was ready to go BUT decided that holding off would be good especially since I was to start taking metformin. SOOOOOOO...this brings us to today...my f/u appt w/ the nutritionist.

Of course I got weighed first. I know I have lost weight due to the change in eating/diet BUT I didn't expect to lose 6 lbs! I'm back in all of my size 8s which is AMAZING considering at X-mas I was about to bust out of my 10s! She couldn't believe it. Well, my response was, "That is what no beer & bread will do!". So we went back & discussed how I have been eating. ALL GOOD!!! As a matter of fact, I'm not eating enough carbs. WAAHOO to that! Then we discussed my cholesterol...the best part...my level is 146 (it has never been high but I liked the sound of it), 69 being good chol. & 67 being bad. She said that having the good better than bad was FANTASTIC! I was elated. She also said that we should relax & even try this cycle to get pg the natural way ! I told her I was worried about low prog but she said to just use my suppositories after I O & that my nurse would refill the script. This is great news since I am on CD 11!!!! If it doesn't work out, it is ok b/c we have everything we need for the next one. I'm just so relieved for once in my recent life! I had to share!!!!

Yay Astrid! I'm so glad that you got such excellent news today.

Here's hoping you get a BFP this cycle and can avoid the meds... but know that if it doesn't, you are really well on your way to having a successfuly medicated cycle next time around.

Thanks girls! Now, if I could just get DH to talk to me, we would be able to ttc BUT since he is in a pissy mood tonight for what ever reason he has (he isn't talking to me), that would mean no BD. Ah, go figure, LMAO! I'm trying to have a positive attitude but DH has me down. Marriage, sometimes it is bliss, other times it is a TRUE PITA (pain in the a##).
