Hello ladies,
Well DH and I went back to the fertility doctor for all of are test results (SA, HSG test, and endometrial biopsy, bloodwork) and he states we have unexplained infertilty and put me on Clomid starting my next cycle and doing a IUI. We are going to try two rounds of this and then proceed to in-vitro. My doctor is running a study where you pay $20,000 and he does 6 rounds of in-vitro and if none of them work he gives you your money back. Not a bad deal when each round of this is usually $10,000. So best case scenario we should be preggo no later than November 2007. So we will see.

For those of you who do not know we have been trying to concieve on and off for the last 5 years and really trying for over a year now. I have wanted this to happen for so long. So now its a waiting game.

I go for more bloodwork in two weeks. My bloodwork that I had done was not normal so doc wants me to do it again to double check my results. My estrogen was extremely high-not normal.

I wish you all the BFP soon! Thanks for all your support.

Jena

Hi
My dh and I are currently trying with clomid/hcg shot and IUI. We are on our second round and currently in our 2ww.
That sounds like a very good deal with the IVF. We have financing that is similar. We pay about 30,000 for 6 cycles if they dont work we get the money back.
Good luck w/your next cycle hopefully it will give you a bfp and you wont have to proceed with ivf. If you do we have quite a few women on this board who have done ivf or are getting ready to start thier first cycles in a few months.

Thanks. I wish you the best of luck. You will have to let me know if you get your BFP this month.

Welcome to the board Jenna

I hope that the clomid works for you and i think the trial system your Dr has is great!

We get 1 single try for £4000 here in the UK. That is for the ICSI method though.

I hope your time here is short and sweet!

If you need anything just PM me.

Sarah

Welcome! Good luck to you with the IUI and the IVF (hopefully you won't need it though)!

Do you have any details on the IVF trial? Like, what he's testing, is it a different protocol or some different meds? It's definitely a good deal $$ wise.

I hope everything works out for you and you have a BFP very soon!

I don't think he is trying anything different for the In-vitro. But he is guaranteeing me a baby or I get my money back. So I think thats worth it. I have been wanting a baby for 5 years now. So its about time. We have whats called "unexplained infertiltity." I start clomid the end of this month and go for a IUI shortly after the start of my meds. So I am keeping my fingers crossed.
