I had an ectopic that ruptured, and had a tube and ovary removed. The recovery wasnt to terrible, and it didnt affect my ability to get pregnant, at least not when it happened.

My infertility issues were secondary after a Tubal reversal.

I had emergency surgery after metho didn't work for me. I was in pain and scared out of my mind at the time so the experience wasn't an easy one for me at all. The recovery was fine, it is just like normal lap recovery. The worst will be the gas they blow you up with. It will take days to disperse and will cause you stiffness and pain in the upper part of your body. An you will probably be bloated for a while. Pamper yourself after

I can't offer any words of wisdom but I wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you & hoping the surgery goes well. Please let us know when you get home & how it went.

Just wanted to post a quick response -
I am so sorry this is happening. I had an ectopic and had my tube removed through the same surgery. I didn't have the option of meth.
The recovery is not horrible, I was shopping by the second day.
If there is something positive about this situation - from what I have been told by multiple docs, by removing your tube through surgery, you drastically reduce the chance of ectopic in the future. By keeping a scarred tube in place through the shot of meth, if it is not blocked, the chance of ectopic is high.
Good luck and feel free to PM me anytime.
