Ladies,

I had a surgery for Ectopic last tuesday.I have no pain except slightly but one thing that's killing me is short breaths.I suffered on thursday I feel as if I have to take long deep breaths else I feel strangulated.I went to see my doc on friday and he sent me to ER.He was concerned that maybe my lungs were clotted. After a bunch of tests which came back negative (thank god for that ) i was sent home.I'm feeling a little better but still have this feeling of uneasiness after eating. My doc said I can eat everything and I am maybe I shouldn't but anybody here has a similar expereince can you please share?

Thanks for reading..

I didn't get the shortness of breath with either of my laparscopic surgeries, but I barely ate anything I think for about a week afterward each time, just felt nauseous right after I'd eat anything.
I am so sorry for your loss (been there twice) and I hope you're feeling better soon!!!

You know, just to be on the safe side I would probably call the doctor and ask if it is a concern. You have been through enough at this point, it is better to be safe than sorry.

Hope you start feeling better soon,

Stina

I definately got the shortness of breath, there was so much gas in my abdomen that it was putting pressure on my lungs, very very uncomfortable.

How long did it take for you to be normal. It's been a week since my surgery and today I'm feeling a bit better.
The doc actually sent me to the ER when I complained about it he was concerned there was some clotting in my lungs but all the results came back fine.

Also I have one more concerned.I can't help but worry aboyut my HCG levels.I know they'll come down but you know I'm dreading the worst for everthing now.I'm waiting for the call from dr's office.

For my first ectopic (and tube ) they were sure they got it all (I assume) because they never had me come in for another HCG, just a post-op appt to talk to the dr 3 wks later. For my 2nd, even though they took my remaining tube, I still had to have an HCG just to make sure that the 2nd pregnancy wasn't heterotopic since the (first) dr thought the 1st pregnancy was. Although, nothing showed up on the u/s, so that wasn't a huge suprise.
Did they take your tube for this surgery? If they didn't, there is a small possibility that they didn't get it all and that's one reason they do the followup HCG.
Glad you're feeling better!
