I was driving home from work tonight and the SUV infront of me swerved over the two lanes to the right of us and smashed into a car dealer ship and finally came to rest knocking out an electric pole and into a building. On the way into the dealership it smashed intoa person on a bicycle and threw him across the dealership lot. A bunch of us jumped out to get the person out of the SUV, the door was stuck and it started to catch on fire. The tires were spinning on the SUV and something caught fire. The police showed up and told us to get away while they tried to get the SUV's door open.
It had to be the worst scariest thing I have ever witnessed. They took our names and #s and told us to leave cause it was during rush hour. When we left they still had not gotten the person out of the SUV. I couldn't see through the window to tell if it was a male or female or if there were passangers because of all the smoke outside and inside the suv. I had to pull into the gas station across the street cause I was shaking so bad after it all that I couldn't drive home. There is no way the pedestrian lived. He was porpelled across the dealer's lot so far and the SUV had to have been going at least 60mph.
It all just hit me when I sat down to tell you and now I'm bawling like a baby. It looked like something you see on tv.

Thanks ladies, u really are the best. I got a call from the investigators a little bit ago - they want me to go talk with them tomorrow and go over everything that I saw. I want to know how everyone involved is. I'll let you know when I get back tomorrow.

I'm so sorry you had to witness that!!! I would have been so shook up to. I know those images will be with you and I hate that anyone has to go through that or see it.
I gotta tell you, that is the ONE thing I can't stand about living in Las Vegas. There are SOOO many fatal accidents here, it's a wonder anyone can get from point A to B safely in this city. I'm ready to go back to my small town in California with one little freeway. I dislike driving so much now because of accidents like you witnessed.

((BIG HUGS)))

Gosh I am sick to my stomach reading that. My thoughts always go to families who have just lost a love one...

I am really sorry you had to witness that. If you are up for it you may want to write everything down because by tomorrow your mind will probably want to start blocking some of it.

How tragic

Oh god girl. That is rough. Try to remember that you did exactly what you were supposed to and that no matter what you couldn't have changed anything. (((hugs)))

It looks like alcohol may have been to blame for the accident. The bicyclist was killed, he was 53 and the man driving the SUV was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. They said now they are just waiting for the blood alcohol levels to come back

To my Aries:
The time we had with you was brief,
We had to say good-bye,
Now angels kiss your little face,
And sing your lullaby.

Someday again, we'll be with you,
To cherish all those things,
Until that day it helps to know,
You're safe in angels wings.
