I lucked out because my DH doesn't have a problem doing it. He told me that considering I've had to do go through so much and have so many office visits where they do the vaginal u/s's that this is the least he could do. I was relieved. Our RE told him it was a right of passage in his office. Ya know if you really want this baby bad enough what wouldn't you do!!!

Dh has been a really good sport so far. But when I need to give him some incentive I offer his favorite "favor" in the bedroom as a reward

Luckily my DH did not have any problem doing this and since we just did an IUI he even had to do it again in a cup. He is a good sport about it!

Advice for that from me would be to start early if you think you may get some resistance. I always gave Brian help, but I started the whole thing as if I just wanted to you know, give him some attention. The one time I said come on babe we need to fill this cup, it was hell b/c he thought about that the whole time. Just put the cup near you and get him going. Then when he gets close you whip out the cup and usually they are already worked up so they don't get the whole "mind-block" thing kwim...

Great advice! I have "helped" him & I can attest to how difficult it is to get it all in the cup. I asked for the condom & the RE's office happily abliged. Now when I stop spotting, I think I will "attack" him! Hopefully BD & not worrying about messing up the rythm will help us get a good batch, LMAO!
