I don't know what this means. I had an ultrasound yesterday and they found at least 6 follicles ranging form 9-12mm. They said I am several days away from ovulation... But I got a positive OPK this morning, the nurse said that is just wrong. I had blood drawn this morning and she is going to call me with the results. I may have been timing things all wrong according to the OPK all 14 months we've been TTC I am so frustrated. I don't understand why I would get a + OPK several days before the eggs are ready. Guess I just wanted to vent.

Maybe your body gears up for O'ing early
When will they have the results? I'm curious to see what she says. Good luck!

Sometime today. I may have to go in for daily bolld draws. Maybe my LH levels are just high and the surge can't be detected because the opk tests are too sensitive for my hormone levels? I am just speculating. I will update when I get the results.

My blood draw showed no LH surge. So I have to get blood drawn every day untill they see the surge. Apparently the OPK aren't accurate for some people.

It'll be interesting to see when you get the surge compared to your + opk's. Haven't you in the past gotten like 4 or 5 + in a row? Or am I thinking about someone else?

Yes, that is me. I got 5 days positive and stopped testing after that. Apparently some people just have higher levels of LH so the test are too sensitive. Most people surge really quick and need the test to be very sensitive or they miss the surge. Apparently I produce LH for a several days leading up to O. Oh well. I was told not to bother with the OPKs and just have blood drawn everyday. On weekends I have to be downtown before 7:30 to get the blood drawn If I don't have a surge by tomorrow they want to do another ultrasound to see what the follicles are doing.
