So, I have been getting blood drawn every day since thursday and there has not been a LH surge yet. I had another ultrasound this morning and there are 2 follicles that are 23mm. So they did another blood test to see if I am surging on my own. If not I am supposed to have a trigger shot this afternoon. My question for the ladies who have had one, what effects did you experience as far as mood, bloating etc? I am already so bloated from the clomid that my clothes are all uncomfotably tight. Any info is appreciated. TIA

The trigger didn't change much for me. I was definitely more bloated but also on different meds from you so I am not sure if you will feel too much - maybe a bit more bloating?

I hope this is finally the cycle that works for you Lizzy!

I've had it a couple of times - it's nothing to worry about. One thing, since it is hCG, some of the side effects can mimic pregnancy (sore boobs, food aversions etc...) but it would only last about a week or so.

It's a quick injection into your abdominal area - it's a very fine needle - and it's over quick!

Good Luck!

I have also had trigger shots. The only side effect that I get is redness at the injection site and kind of get a warm feeling like fever. The next day it gets really sore for me, I have to wear sweatpants lol. I take mine below the bellybutton to and its a very fine needle. It really ain't bad. Good luck this cycle.

OUCH! In the tummy, really??? Eh, I suppose I will go through much worse during pregnancy and delivery. Thanks for the info. I'm glad to know that it causes pg symptoms so I don't get too carried away analyzing symptoms.

I didn't really have any side effects from the trigger. Well that isn't totally true, lol, I got positive pregnancy tests from it and I am fully enjoying testing that trigger out. Even though they are false they are still pretty to look at

LOL I thought about getting some tests just for tht reason because I have NEVER seen a positive test. My husband will tell me I am an idiot if I do that. My RE just wants to do a beta 15dpo, if I don't get AF.

The nurse did my shot in my butt. I hardly felt it. I am so anxious for the insemination. I have to be at the lab with the specimen at 7am. Sheesh, that is early. I'm going to have to wake up DH nicely. I think I am going to have the longest two weeks of my life.
