Just got the call -- it looks like we'll be doing a 5-day transfer on Tuesday!

We actually have 12 embies now, one more than yesterday -- not sure if that was one of the "poor" ones that stabilized or whether it fertilized late. I never think of the right questions until I'm off the phone!

1 6-Cells (Fair)
3 5-Cells (All Fair)
2 4-Cells (1 Good, 1 Fair)
4 3-Cells (All Fair)
2 2-Cells (1 Good, 1 Fair)

I was concerned that there weren't enough "Goods" in there, but the embryologist assured me that they don't give "Good" ratings often, and he was pleased with the result so far. He also said that at this point, he'd like to see 2-4 cells, so they will be keeping a close watch on the 5-6 celled embies, since they could be growing too fast.

That's it...so far so good!

Woohoo that's a great report! I also had 1 more embie on my 2nd report then my 1st one which was a nice surprise - I think they're generally just late to fertilize.

I'm excited for you and your transfer on Tuesday and I will be hoping that all those little guys make it to blast. My RE stated 50% as the stat for embies that make it to blast, on average and so far I've been just about on that average or a tad above and I'm sure you will be at least that given how well things are going. That means you'll have lots to freeze!

Don't be surprised if they leave some of them another day before freezing just to give them a chance to get to blast. It's really not uncommon at all.

Good luck on Tuesday, I can't wait for you to test because this is all sounding so good!
