I cancelled our consultation with the place in NY today because yesterday I found this place: http://www.ivf-indiana.com
It is much more affordable, much closer to home - we can drive there and the hotels are cheap!, and I still get the traditional IVF with the better success rates! WOOHOO!!!!!
And our consultation for this place is Oct 1st 2pm.
Now I'm all excited! Almost can't wait for my pre-screening pap smear today . . .

I'll keep you updated if I find an even more affordable place, but somehow this place feels right.

Good for you sweetie! I'm so glad you are going w/ traditional IVF! The success rates are worth it.

and they are SO nice there too! I don't even have my consultation yet and I've been emailing (and getting responses from) the doctor himself back and forth now for a couple of days, already talking about my case. Their site is way more informative than the other sites I've been checking out.
What I really love (although I certainly don't wish it on anyone, don't get me wrong!) is that he and his wife had to have fertility treatments to conceive all their children, so he really understands the issues on a personal level. Maybe that's part of the reason the cost is so much lower.
