Well, I had an appointment with my Dr. again today. As some of you may remember I was quite depressed when my last cycle (third on clomid) came to an end with AF instead of a BFP. And the Dr. I was seeing said that was it for Clomid and it was time for the "next step".

Well today I saw Dr. Drolet, and she decided that I will take 1000 mg of Metformin a day starting today, and next cycle I will go back on 50mg of Clomid followed by the estradiol and then the prometrium. She said that the combination of Met and the Clomid cocktail should be just what I need. I also have to call and schedule an HSG as soon as AF shows this time around. So, things are moving forward. Hopefully I O this cycle, and it's not a dragging long cycle!

What should I know about s/e with Met? I understand that some ladies get diarrhea with it? What else should I expect/be prepared for?

I know I haven't been around much lately as I've been super depressed, but I've been trying to keep up with each of you, just not posting anything. I've missed everybody, and I'm looking forward to getting back in here with you all!

I didn't have any real s/e with Met. I had a little dry mouth, but thatw as about it. I had an HSG done a couple weeks ago and it wasn't bad at all. I'm still praying for you sweetie!! I miss ya!!

For me the diarrhea didn't set in until I moved up to 1500 mg. Up until then I had no problems.

Some women also experience nausea w/ the met but fortunately for me, I had no s/e. I am up to 2000mg per day & am still taking it now.
