ok, OW!!! For some reason my belly button is KILLING ME!!! It feels like someone jsut JAMMED their finger right in there and bruised it!!!! I had a laparoscopy two months ago and they made an incision in there... but that was 2 months ago!!! It stopped hurting 2 weeks after the surgery!!!! Is there anyway it could be infected??? I'm told that if im not running a fever and it's not red or swollen, im probably fine- which is the current case. So.... what with my poor little belly button

Since it is not swollen, it shouldn't be a hernia. I really hope you feel better soon! After my first laparoscopy, part of my belly button has been surrounded with fluid. Mine is puff but doesn't hurt. Everytime a new doctor sees that for the first time they check very carefully for a hernia.

Hmmm I wouldn't think you should be feeling anything this far after your lap. With all of mine, I was usually fine after about a week and after two weeks wouldn't even know anything had happened.

If it's not red or swollen or leaking gunk, then I would say not to worry. Keep an eye on your fever, like you have been and that should be the indication that there isn't infection somewhere.

Of course if it persists, I'd get it checked out just to be on the safe side.

Feel better soon!

Maybe now you're having some scar tissue forming, and somehow that's creating pain? I agree though... if it persists, ask your doc!

thanks for the input ladies, im gonna guess it's probably scar tissue. No swelling or oozing, just plain sore... so, probably just some scar tissue!!!!
thanks again!!!
