Well, I just thought that I would reintroduce myself here. I used to be on here a lot and then took a break. I have been ttc for 33 months. I took Clomid for a total of 8 months and no pregnancy. I moved out of town and then back to where I started during those months. When I moved back to where I live now in the Memphis area, my doctor referred me to a fertility specialist. My first month there we tried Clomid with an IUI. For the first time on Clomid I didn't even ovulate. I was devastated! The next month, my ovaries were full of cysts (I have PCOS) and I was told that my numbers looked like my ovarian reserve was in failure. They also told me that it could possibly just be all of the cysts, but that I needed to go back on bc to see if the cysts would go away. I have over 15 cysts between the two ovaries. The following month I only had 1 cyst left. My dr recommended that I do Gonal-f injections with an hcg shot and then IUI. During my first ultra sound I have 5 good follicles. By the time I did my hcg I had 8 follicles over the size of 18. I am so happy to say that I am now 5 weeks pregnant! I honestly cannot believe it!

I've taken so many tests over the last 33 months that I honestly couldn't believe it. I woke up last Sunday morning at 4:00 am and decided just to take it and get it over with. It popped up Pregnant within a minute! I didn't know what to do. I had dreamed a million times about how I would tell dh. Instead, I ran in the bedroom at 4:00am and told him to get up that I had taken a test and it said Pregnant! I said you've got to come see this! I left it out on the counter on display until the screen went out the next day... Then I took another one!

I go for my first ultrasound next week and can't wait to see how many babies are in there. My dr made sure that I was aware that with all of those follicles meant the possibility for multiples! I surely wasn't going to miss the opportunity to get pregnant then! I feel huge already, but feel great!

I know this was long, but I hope that I can give some of you a little hope. There have been a lot of bfp's this month and please let that be a ray of hope for you!

Rachel

Congrats! You are a perfect example of why not to give up! It takes some longer than others to get pg, but it can happen! Woohoo!

Congrats sweetie! That is wonderful news! We just found out that we are having triplets! With that many eggies, I wouldn't be surprised if you have a couple in there.
