I'm not exactly sure how long i haven't been here, i think the last time was Thursday the 3rd. Anyway, our baby boy is here! Yes, big surprise, and believe me, it wasn't much fun! I started having headaches on Friday night, but i didn't think much of it, i had it earlier that week too. On Saturday it got worse and i started to vomit a few times. Then it stopped, but after dinner it was back and i started to get dizzy..so DH called an ambulance and Chris, (my sister) to assist Arthur to watch over our kids. At the hospital they saw my blood-presure was way to high (180/95), but our baby was okay. The said i was having pre-eclampsia and that the baby and i needed to be monitored. But at 9.30pm i still wasn't getting much better (bp was about 155/90) and the baby was getting a bit stressed, so they told me they would have to do a c-sec if things didn't improve fast. They didn't, and the baby's heartbeat started to drop, so the doctor who had been in and out my room all night told me they had to do a c-sec. I was under full anaestetics so i wasn't awake when he was born. When i woke up i was all fuzzy and dizzy but at least i was fine. But our baby boy wasn't doing so great. Scott told me it took them over 30 secs to get him breathing once he got out. He was born at 22:04pm, and he was 4.7 pounds and 18 inches long. We named him James Arthur (Jaimy), James after the doctor who checked in on me all night and eventually preformed the c-sec, and Arthur after my brother. Right now, Jaimy is still in NICU, suffering from sleep-apnoe (sp.?, meaning he stops breathing for 10+ seconds when he's asleep, and starts breathing after that), but he's drinking fine so that's a big plus. They also told us that we have to wait to see if there is any brain-damage due to the time he wasn't breathing, so i would like to ask you ladies if you could pray for my little man. He is doing a lot better than last week, so they told us if his apnoe is minimized by Tuesday, he could go home by Wednesday or Thursday. I got home last Thursday, still recovering, so Arthur, Chris, my mum and Scott's mum are here to run the household. Right now i have to go, i'll try to check in every now and then, but if you don't see me for a couple a weeks, you know why..
