UM..does your back seat come out? We have. A 15 passenger and took out the last row. It would be pretty cramped though. Hmmmm...that sucks.
Repti, I had to giggle yesterday on fb, I was making waffles at the same time. Good luck with the butter, you'll have to let us know how it turns out.
Baby G smiled for the first time today. I was taking his pic because he wasbeing so content, right as I took it, he smiled and I caught it! What luck!

Or the front row, so it becomes a 12 passenger. Put a bin in there for groceries.

UM~We bought our 15 pass. 2nd hand and it already had the first bench removed. Groceries, strollers etc. fit well there. How did your tattoo go? What did you get this time?

B~yay for 1st smiles.

Sorry about the lack of funds, Kraze. Hopefully they we get on that soon!

Baby blues are no good either.

We aren't doing anything permanent but we aren't considering more at the moment either.

I was going to suggest taking out a seat too.

Baby smiles are the best!!

Our weeks are starting to fill up with baseball, softball, therapy, and dr. appts. So far Friday is free but I have two that haven't got their coach's pitch schedule yet, lol!

can i say that as much as i LOOOVEE babies, i am so grateful that i can't have any more. honestly, i am too tired and too old to keep up with all the activities that wyatt is just barely getting into. i did it all when i was younger (as best i could as a single parent). i never thought that i would be glad to say good bye to my babies at their own house and come home to my quiet clean house. it is such a relief that i cannot express. i truly never expected to get old enough to not want a baby around. i don't know if you knew this but i wanted to adopt a baby at age 50 and we were on that track before we learned that wyatt was coming. its just this year that i realized that i am tired and that i have paid my dues and now its time for me to do somethings that i want to.

and people are still asking me if i miss my kids and grandbabies yet. i can truthfully say no. i see them often and talk to my girls multiple times a day. so no, not really missing anyone right now.

oh and thanks for liking my charm bracelet idea ~~ wasn't sure if it sounded lame or what.

I didn't think you were even 50 MIL lol

Back from Wic and the store, and bank. Have to go back on the 25th for my appointment with them before I get checks. That's ok though, these for the kids aren't good til the 21st anyway.

I'm only 28, but DH is 40. He acts like 40 is 70, that's one reason I'm not sure we will have more. He doesn't dwell on the age thing all the time, but when he does, he's really annoying about it.

If we get a 12/15 it's going to be a newer one, (I'm spoiled now that we have an 07 odyssey) and I want to get one that is meant to be an airport shuttle, those have to have some space in the back that is meant for carrying bags and the such I would think?

aww repti ---you are sweet!!! fyi - i am about to turn 56 years old this summer and i am thankful to be able to say that! i lost my mom at age 59 and it has been scary for me to get closer to her age because we were so alike in many ways (looks, health, size etc) and so i just want to make 60. BUT i am very young at heart and i don't act my age much. i think like you girls do, with the same mindset on family. i definitely don't think like an old lady!!!

I think my mom is a bit younger than that. My dad just turned 60 and I *think* she's 8 yrs younger than him. She acts old though, so does my dad, but he's got MS and I think he lets it get to him more than some people would. Not that it's not a debilitating disease sometimes, just saying he acts older than he could.

I made myself a little list of the things I need yet for baby and posted it on my and DH's facebook. Of course you have to have that one person that tells you to buy everything at garage sales. Why should ANY baby #1 or #100 not be allowed to have some new stuff?? I absolutely wont buy a car seat used. You should see the CRAP they try to sell on CL sometimes!! I saw one person selling like an early 90's car seat for 20.00 the other day. If I had money I'd go buy it just to take it and cut the straps and throw it away. Those things are not good anymore. Plus the car seat I want would last FOREVER with my kids. Like I posted on my FB Rebecca is 4 and doesn't even weigh 35 lbs yet. She's too tall for the infant seat by standards, but still 4!! lol I could keep the kid in that seat til like age 2.5 or something.

I buy a lot of stuff second hand, if I don't already have it to pass down from the other kids, but there have been a few things I never bought used...well till I had my last one. Car seats, espcially they infant ones, but I was mad about having to buy anything with #8 so she got used....it was still a really nice one and only a year old. Swings I buy new, not sure what my hang up is there, and bouncy seats I buy new. Beyond those few things I am not picky.

I agree though, all babies deserve a few new things.

I'm not bashing 2nd hand. In fact I am mad that I didn't keep some stuff, but what are ya gonna do? I learned my lesson though, none of this baby stuff is going anywhere but into the girls' closet for storage. The furniture anyway, the clothing I will pass on, I do lots of clothing swaps and stuff with my FB friends. Half the time that's the only time I see them, I call them my free stuff friends lol.

I am honestly behaving and not going into the thread that FW told me not to

Repti~ you have a stronger constitution then me LMBO!

I didn't think you were knocking second hand, I agree all babies deserve something new. I was just to mad at being pregnant with #8 to care...I did feel a little bad after she was born lol

I am a baby paraphernalia hoarder. Anyone having a baby and needing something comes to me, I hate to just get rid of that stuff!

i have so much stuff from my grandbabies that i am considering donating it to a pregnancy support center if i can find one locally. not car seats though (although i do have two infant seats that still have plenty of life left in them). i plan on keeping my pack-n-play for future sleepovers of grandbabies as well as lots of toys that are in the garage waiting to be used again. wish you lived closer, repti -- i'd happily share!

I have nothing against second hand stuff for babies either. Of course, some new things are in order! We used a second hand car seat for David, but it was from a good friend and I knew she hadn't had an accident and she had bought it brand new, so no worries. It was still within the expiration date when we passed it on to another friend of ours, a single dad, who has twin girls and one of his car seats was broken!!

If you lived here Cybele, you would be stoned for not having your 10 year old, and MAYBE even 12 year old in booster seats yet lol.

Welcome back!

We buy almost everything second hand. I love garage sales and thrift stores.

We had our first (thankfully) miscarriage 2 weeks ago . I feel like I'm getting back into the swing of things, it's getting easier but still tough. No one knew, except you guys ,

On a plus note, we sold our house yesterday. All signed and done. We took a beating, but are glad to be out of it. We got a steal on our new one, so it all works out.

Hope everyone is well.
