I feel like I should go this thread and print out all my entries. It's the closest thing I have to a journal

I am going to go chase Clara. She likes stealing my phone and hiding it and I put it on silent so it will not be easy to find it....

I am not camping...could it be because there is snow in Jasper or the rainfall warning that we have here?

I am planning a getaway weekend for 11 girls and me to go to Night of Joy at Disney. I am either the coolest mom ever or a crazy idiot.

Farmers wife....very cool. Good for you.

We had over 4 inches of rain here today. So the basement is flooded. Fun, fun, fun. We are running our sump pump, but it's not really keeping up. We have a huge river running behind our barn in the gully and the kids are floating boats. They are having a great time. We had church tonight and now I'm off to bed.

Hope everyone is well.

Marie, hows the cooking class going? I'm proud of you!

Has anyone heard from Urban Mama? I haven't seen her in a long time.

I love cooking class-I've always wanted to take one, and we've got a great chef here who was trained in Scotland who is just started classes at our college in the city, one week of the basics-I love it! I made two soups last night so my kids don't have to eat mac n cheese or Beefaroni today for lunch with dh
I love, love, love it!

I want to make tomato soup.

UM, last I heard, was fine. No internet at home. Busy. I wish I knew more. I miss hearing from her as well.

I might have UMs phone number still, but feel weird calling.

I am going to chug my cold morning coffee and do something productive.

I'm glad someone heard from UM
Chef gave us a recipe for tomato soup, I might try it on the weekend
This morning I deboned three chickens, yay!

For dinner tonight I made us:

chicken breast stuffed with fresh apricots or duxelle
hasselback potatoes roasted in butter and chicken broth
tomatoes stuffed with rice and bacon
asparagus wrapped in bacon

The little kids ate the apricot chicken, focaccia bread and potatoes
DH and I ate everything
and Nolan refused to eat any of it, but he's never a great supper eater anyhow

I'm making the tomato soup tomorrow, so I will post the recipe if we get a recipe sticky going, whatcha all think?

for dinner tonight we had:
seared roasted pork with honey/maple/white wine glaze
homemade mac n cheese with bechamel sauce and sharp cheddar and bacon, baked with a Panko and cheese crusting
romaine lettuce with a homemade vinaigrette
ice cream with peach coulee (I made all but the ice cream)

I ran all four kids very hungry since lunch, so they all ate everything I made for supper, even Nolan!!
