I was wondering what kind you used.

I was considering them, but for a pack of 6 (thirsties, I think?) it was almost a hundred dollars~

I am still considering them....but I figure a newborn would use 12+ diapers a day so just for that size of thirsties would run me 200!

If you know a more economical brand or way of doing it, please, I am all ears!

When I first started I bought prefolds at Walmart and gerber rubber/plastic pants there too. Then my SIL bought me some snappis to use instead of pins and they are great. This, to me, is the easiest way to start. The covers you can find are awesome and cute you can usually buy those one at a time. SO many people make them and sell them, the cloth diapering board here would probably be able to suggest some good ones. My SIL just sent me a link a few days ago to a place that sells the covers for about $5 each, but I deleted it. I'll ask her to send it again.

One of the moms in the March PR 09 started a blog about her adventures starting to CD. Feel free to check it out. The Cloth Diaper Experiment

Hope this helps!

Oh, thanks for the info!

Being a mother of almost 6, I am always looking to save some money, LOL!

I did go on ebay and order one, complete with cover. I am going to build up my supply and see how it goes once my latest babykins get's here

Also, I am going to check out the blog too...Thanks!

Check out DiaperSwappers.com! I bought a lot of 13 Kissaluvs fitteds and 3 covers (for a newborn) for $100. It was plenty to get me started, and they fit until she was about 3-4 months old. You can usually get some good deals on used dipes!
