Do you make your kids Halloween costumes or buy them?

I guess technically they are made, but I tell them if they want to wear a costume (to our church party thing we have always gone to) they have to come up with it on their own!

I usually make my kids, but lately they haven't wanted me to. They have wanted me to buy them. The boys got their costumes in August - 2 transformer costumes for 18.99 each!! at Costco - and Erin can't decide what to be yet. She still likes me to make hers.

I've bought a couple but made most. We'll see what we plan on this year.

We aren't to give a baby milk, berries, or peanut butter. We are to introduce new foods one at a time. But it's OK to inject several viruses, bacteria, aluminum, formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol, animal serum, mercury, squalene and more into an 8 week old? I don't think so.
In order to be healthy it is an unfortunate fact that people must be allowed the opportunity to be ill. I trust my body and those of my children to work correctly against the relatively benign diseases they vax for, and do not trust the ingredients in the vaccinations.
Our choice to not vax isn't based in ignorance, poverty, conspiracy theory and rumor. It's research, common sense, fact and evidence based..something the medical community has largely forgot about.

I do not have craftsy bone in my body. They are all bought, usually last minute because I am not a fan of Halloween. This year, however, I am pretty sure we'll be doing the Trunk or Treat at the church so we'll be costume shopping early to get a good deal.

I buy them. I can be creative with make up and what-not, but I can't actually make things to wear.

I usually go to the thift shops and sometimes buy things in the craft section to kinda 'make' ours, unless we can get a splendid deal on already made costumes.

I like to make them but sometimes I feel like I bite off more than I can chew. Thankfully scarves are "totally cool" this year and since dd has like 8 of them she wants to be a gypsy. Score! Esme and Clara have hand me down costumes and Bastian always wants to be a character that nobody will recognize (like Ben 10 ) And I have learned I cannot do makeup. The year I tried to make him frankenstein, everyone thought he was the Hulk. Poor kid.
