Don't want this to turn into vaccine debate....just asking.

Do you get a flu vaccine? Do your children?

Are you in a panic (like the media) about the H1N1? Will you get this new vaccine?

I have never had a flu shot. My children haven't either. They rarely even get sick at all. (knock on wood!!)

I've never had the flu shot and neither have the kids, thankfully if they have been sick, it's been very very minor and not requiring time from school.
I'm on the fence about this one though; I'm asthmatic so sniffles can turn into walking pneumonia for me (have had it many times now). Mind you I tend to continue to work and go about life much the same when I have it, but things take MUCH longer to do (even walking from A to B) because it's harder to breathe.

There is so much panic about H1N1 - my 15 yr old came home from school the other day to tell me that a kid in his class barfed at the start of one of their tech classes so the teacher moved them all out of the classroom for the rest of the period - they then literally CLOSED out the classroom and even had a time trying to convince school maintenance to clean up the mess!

This is the first year my children have EVER had a flu shot, I have had 2 kids that got it, and 2 that still need it, the baby is too young. Having a newborn in the house and having a kid in kindergarten where half the school is out with the flu, this year it's needed. I never get one, and don't think I will.

No flu shots here. I think swine flu media frenzy is obnoxious.

We don't normally do flu shots and probably won't this year. The one year we did, half of us still caught the flu!

We have all gotten flu shots since I was pg with the twins. I am afraid that all the shots I have made Nathan endure has something to do with why he has autism.

I am terrified to have him get yet ANOTHER flu shot this year but his immune system is SOOO much weaker than his sisters that I am also afraid not to. We just had a confirmed case of swine flu in the local school and the twins start preschool in 2 weeks. I still don't have a clue what to do.

I am where you are with Korinne. She is eplieptic and has a very weak immune system. I have heard the swine flu can be fatal to epileptics, yet the shot is dangerous.

Such fun....

No we have never gotten one and neither have the kids.

YES they are making a big fuss out of the swine flu...I do not believe that it's any worse than the other severe strands of flu.

My children will NOT be getting the swine flu vaccine. (nor will we obviously)....THere is no way a vaccine only made a few months ago could be proven safe...and if you've read what is IN the thing....your stomach would turn.....I wouldn't hold the container it comes in! LOL....

That's me though

We aren't to give a baby milk, berries, or peanut butter. We are to introduce new foods one at a time. But it's OK to inject several viruses, bacteria, aluminum, formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol, animal serum, mercury, squalene and more into an 8 week old? I don't think so.
In order to be healthy it is an unfortunate fact that people must be allowed the opportunity to be ill. I trust my body and those of my children to work correctly against the relatively benign diseases they vax for, and do not trust the ingredients in the vaccinations.
Our choice to not vax isn't based in ignorance, poverty, conspiracy theory and rumor. It's research, common sense, fact and evidence based..something the medical community has largely forgot about.

No flu shots. We don't normally get one, and this year will be no different. My kids are healthy, and I have no reason to believe that any of us wouldn't survive the swine flu.
