wish lists this year? Do your kids ask for things that they certainly won't be getting? My two boys want EVERYTHING in the Toys R Us catalogue. They have circled about 75 things in there. I keep telling them that they can ASK for whatever they want - but Sants doesn't bring everything.

My oldest son wants a Wii, and a DS. He's not asking for too much. LOL

This is the first year the kids get what is on their wish list, (I have not been able to afford xmas much at all in 4 years so they have NEVER been able to get anything they have asked for) although for my daughter it will be a huge surprise. She has actually been on about getting a DS along with the 10 yr old, but she's 14 and wouldn't really get a lot of use from it... so I bought her this (the red one)

I have this tucked away for the 10 yr old:

And my 15 yr old wants to get into shape (even though he's not out of shape) and asked for (and I also have hidden away) this:

The 11 yr old already has a DS from last year and has asked for games - Since I believe the boys should share those (and I bought a few of them) I want to get him something that is just his own, so perhaps the StreetZ stuff he's been in to

My bank card is hurting from the other purchases already

EDIT: Got the streetz box and a pack of streetz cars today while out shopping. They had them on sale for 25% off so it was impossible not to pass it up

Wow! Nice haul!

My oldest wants a laptop. We are Mac people though, so the low end ones are still $1K. We are considering it though for her birthday as she will be starting highschool stuff next year.

The others just want the same stuff they always want: art stuff, swords, action figures, light sabres. They will get something.

My kids have long lists but nothing crazy. We are getting a Wii as a family gift so everything they will get otherwise is going to be small stuff

We got the Wii last year as our family gift. It's awesome. Walmart has it for 199 and you get a 50 walmart gift card when you buy it.

Bastian wants Bakugan and transformers
Esme wants an american girl doll but since she is 2 she will get a Target knock-off
Sapphire wants cake decorating stuff (she asked for a zhuzhu and I said - not gonna happen)
Clara could care less

We are getting Xbox 360 and Rockband for the family gift from Santa this year.

Alyssa asked for a gem stone collection and mario games for the Wii (she is not getting a gem stone collection LOL)

Coleman asked for a air hog Swithblade something or other (still looking for it)

Emmalyn asked for a Fur Real Kitty

Lucas asked for an airplane (still looking for an airplane appropriate for a 3 yr old)

Isabel doesn't care

My 11 yr old asked for that - it's $80 and you can see it here: Air Hogs R/C Club - Switchblade

It looked.. I dunno, I felt it a bit much for his age and considering what it could do I felt it dangerous and considering the cost - far too expensive for something that will probably get broken very quickly.

LOL it comes unassembled in a small box, just wait till I hand him the tools & tell him to have at it! lol

Oh and it's in the trunk of SO's car - we're having more fun trying to figure out hiding places than anything
