If you have a non-believer, how old were they when they made the switch?

We have never allowed belief in Santa for a couple of reasons. We treat him like a character, like Elmo or Ferb. Our primary reason is we don't lie to the kids. Secondly, we knew there would be years of plenty and years of lean and didn't want the pressure to provide gifts. 3rd, we want all the credit.

Makes sense. However, we lie to our kids. I try not to make it a habit though.

My oldest stopped believing in third grade. Eriin just stopped a couple of weeks ago. She just wanted to know the truth so I told her. She is nine and in fourth grade. The boys still believe.

My brother is doing the same thing.

This is Sapphire's first year as a non-believer and she told me Christmas just isn't as much fun this year. Now we're thinking of ways to make it more fun for her. I might let her shop for a toys for tots present or let her pick out a "from Santa" gift to give to her siblings (in the $5 range)

No Santa here ever. I am kinda like Farmerswife, I want all the credit for sure, no way I am gonna bust my behind to give them Christmas and then tell them a fat guy in a red suit slid down the chimney and left them gifts. LOL

LOL! They believe in Santa here, but Donovan my 7 year old, he tried pulling the "Santa does not exist" card this year. I got him to believe for what is probably the last year. It's sad, but I agree, it will make it so much easier! I just don't want him to ruin it for the other kids. This is the only thing we lie to them about. LOL!!
