According to JM it is 4 or more.

I think this: 1-2 small family. 3-5 medium. 6 and up- large. My theory is based on seating in passenger vehicles.

I am due with my ninth in May....
Four or more is what it says up at the top, but I think if you are TTC a large family you can hang here, the other ladies correct me if I am wrong.

Oh, I am all about "the more the merrier" and "there is always room for one more". She is good in my book.

Maybe you're not technically a large family yet, but sounds like you have a large family heart....so welcome!

I have four ~ and I don't think that's large at all. Especially in here - feels rather small. However, in the real world - people think I am crazy for having four and gasp when they hear I have four. ::::::::

On a side note - one lady at a swim meet this weekend asked me if I only had the four. Only??? Not many people word it like that - turns out she had 5!! Nice to meet other moms with more kids than me!

I think those with 4 kids totally belong on this forum, (and those with 3 wanting more).

To me, 5 or more is a large family. After 9 you almost need another term...supersized family or something.

It always strikes me funny when people can't believe you have more than 3.

Teenagers DO take up a lot of room don't they??!! And they eat a lot!! Especially boys. I swear my two oldest went from lil, cute boys to huge, man-sized boys in a year....with appetites to match!! Though my 6 year old (stick skinny) daughter can eat more than you'd think humanly possible. LOL!! My grandma says she has a hole in her foot.

People think I am absolutely in-freakin-sane when they find out lil nugget is my ninth baby!!

Where I live, 3 kids is a large family now days. Rural Iowa used to have massive families but not so much anymore. It's not the money thing either here, it's time. Run here, run there. I don't understand where family time went!

Norm! LOL Love it! I hear the kids down the street whine and moan when they have to do family things.
