Hi all! My name is Beth. I'm mommy to a beautiful girl, Sarah Beth, an angel son, Bryan Luke, and also have 4 foster children. I just got three of those kids in the past couple of weeks. I'm struggling with a few things since going from 2 children to 5.
Most of all, I need help with recipes. I'm looking for easy, quick things, that kids like (all my kids are under 6) that'll feed a family of 7. Help?
My easy as pie go to recipe -
1 -Melt 2-3 T butter, add 2-3 T flour
2 -whisk together, cook over low heat for a couple minutes
3 - slowly whisk in a large can of tomato juice.
4 - Add a few splashes of milk or cream at the end.
5 - Ladle into bowls and let each kid top theirs with shredded cheese, gold fish or sour cream or serve with grilled cheese for dipping.
I make a lot of homemade soups out of whatever I have on hand.
We also have homemade mac and cheese a lot.
I also make a lot of pasta with meatballs or meat sauce.
