We have a dining room table that seats four, and that is where we eat all our meals and snacks. Well in the summer we like to eat ouside...but that seems like a distant memory right now. I need a bigger table, but that'll be maybe this fall at the earliest. We don't want to buy anything until after the move.
So what I have right now is Beth and Matt in boosters at the table, dh and I in the other two chairs, and Carrie in the high chair.
Carrie doesn't want to sit in the high chair. She always crawls into my chair and then pretends she doesn't hear me when I tell her she has to go, lol. I don't blame her, she wants to be with her brother and sister. My other two didn't sit in high chairs at two, I just don't have a spot for her.
What I do have is a kiddie table that seats two that I am thinking of moving down. I don't like the idea of some of the kids not sitting with us, but it seems like it might be a good idea for now. It would also allow me to give Carrie a regular cup instead of a sippy. She is ready, I just can't deal with the 10 foot splatter that comes when she drops a drink alllll the way from the top of that high chair.
Do you all fit at one table or do the kids get to eat together?
We still all fit. Look into getting a bench for one side, since they are little they can squeeze in. We have a longer, rectangle table we got for free from my best friend's friend's ex boyfriend! We have had it for years now and it is the best free thing we have ever gotten. Keep an eye on Craigslist.
