right now we have nearly daily house showings, so the house is always pretty tidy. I'm a bit spoiled, for the past two years we've had a housecleaner come in every 2 weeks, and in the past month she's been here weekly until we get into the new place-I love not having to do toilets and showers

Oh how I miss my housekeeper!
Since dh has been laid off so much lately we are trying to work together everyday on the housework but it's been a battle.

The older two have dishwasher duty every day. the kitty liter and vacuuming is every other day for them. B has kitty liter on tuesdays, thursdays, saturdays and patrick is the opposite. the days they don't have kitty liter they have vacuuming. On Sundays though if they have either missed a day or have fought with each other so much during the week then they have those chores on sunday. Laundry I don't have a set schedule. but they do have to do at least a load of their clothes on the weekend.
We do clean up the living room and kitchen/dining room every day cause I can't stand a messy kitchen or food left on my table(I swear all the lectures about cleaning up after themselves will work someday won't it?)

i try to keep up with the JM cleaning gals schedule now. prior to that every day was mess triage and then if I could get something else done. On a good day I would blitz the place and get everything clean.

Have been trying to formulate one in my head to start sticking with, one that includes the kids doing a little more than they're used to doing and also one that will keep me on-task. I think I'll implement it through our workbox system for homeschooling that I'm trying to also implement.

We're looking to move in about 6 weeks, so it's kind of nutty. I've found in the past that moving into a new place is an excellent time to start a new schedule, as long as it gets implemented quickly after the move. Right before a move, though, is a terrible time to start something new.
