Okay, I can really only blame myself for this one...but still!
I went outside this morning to shovel the snow (how fun for me) and the kids wanted to come out and play with me. After a while they lost interest in being out front though, and asked to go in the back where all their toys are. I told them yes, even though that is out of my sight. I could hear them still, and they have always been good at staying by the house. When I was almost done Carrie toddled on after them. Once again, she is good at staying with them and by the house, so I just hurried to finish up the shoveling. A few minutes later I heard Carrie crying and moving back towards me, so I ran around to get her. When I got to the back door I saw B and M in the house! With all their snow gear off and heading to play!
Those little stinkers...they left her there! I mean I know at three and five they're not exactly babysitting material, but they know better than the shut the door in her face and leave her out in the snow.
So...that was my morning. And they aren't allowed in the back without me anymore, since they apparently don't have the sense I thought they did.
