Do you think the sale of cigarettes should be outlawed?

No, I don't know why...we don't smoke. I guess because I am from North Carolina I can't get on board with that, lol.

I am in favor of laws barring smoking in most public places, which we now have in Connecticut (where I live now) and even back in NC! Now I would like a rule against smoking at playgrounds. I mean really...how ghetto! My son has asthma...it'd be nice to push him in the swing without the mom next to me lighting up. I guess since it's outside they don't worry about it, but it doesn't keep other people from being down wind.

Hmm...the part of me that HATES smoke wants to say HELL YES...I mean it's KNOWN to cause cancer yet they still sell them...It's KNOWN to be hazardous to your health in more than just that way..WHY are they still for sale in the first place? Even in moderation they are still bad for you....My dad smokes...but only outside even at his house so it's not terrible...I still hate it but it's not terrible...IL's though, ICK ICK ICK...I go to their house (which we do once or twice a month)...and we leave smelling like we've been barhopping...seriously it's SO strong...our eyes burn, our throats hurt, our heads ache....it's AWFUL!!!!! So for those reasons and the health reasons...I say YES....

BUT....I'm not sure I'm 100% for that....LOL...if it came to a vote...I'm not sure what I'd say?! I'd probably be in favor of them being illegalized simply because they are so bad for not only the person smoking them but those down wind getting the second hand CRAP....I dont know!? LOL

We aren't to give a baby milk, berries, or peanut butter. We are to introduce new foods one at a time. But it's OK to inject several viruses, bacteria, aluminum, formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol, animal serum, mercury, squalene and more into an 8 week old? I don't think so.
In order to be healthy it is an unfortunate fact that people must be allowed the opportunity to be ill. I trust my body and those of my children to work correctly against the relatively benign diseases they vax for, and do not trust the ingredients in the vaccinations.
Our choice to not vax isn't based in ignorance, poverty, conspiracy theory and rumor. It's research, common sense, fact and evidence based..something the medical community has largely forgot about.

Only if they outlaw the sale of alcohol first. I am pretty sure alcohol is messing up more families than cigarettes.

Completely Agree with that!!!!

We don't smoke and I don't allow my kids be be around it either. I'm pregnant and have asthma, Noah has asthma, Nicky has breathing issues, and Aly doesn't need to develop any. In resturants I request a table as far away from the smoking section as possible. I don't allow smoking in my home. Only 3 of my family members smoke and they are very considerate around my kids and won't smoke around them even if we are in their homes which I greatly appreciate. I dont' think outlawing it would get too far, but I do wish people would use more common sense and realize what they are exposing their children to... secondhand smoke causes just as many problems.

No, It a freedom just like the right to not smoke. I don't smoke and it bothers me when people do and are rude about it. But The Government needs to STAY OUT of MY LIFE. It's not the Gov. place to regulate., or punitive tax it; if people don't like it "vote with your feet" . I come from a family that smokes and I don't (the only one.)

I would cry if they outlawed alcohol. We love us some beer in WI LOL

Anyway- no, and this tax thing is just a wasted effort as well. My husband smokes and as soon as cigarettes went up to 6.00 a pack he started making his own. It's 24.00 for about 2 cartons or more.

I don't understand the point of smoking at all but I don't think that it should be illegal.

In the perfect world, yes, but even though I hate smoking and think it's just stupid, I am opposed to the government me telling we're not allowed to.

Here you're not allowed to smoke in any public buildings (including bars), you have to be 15 feet (or something) away from a public building.
