Our lunches cost $2.50 (thats with dessert), I only allow my kids to buy twice a week. They have a lot of different stuff, spaghetti, pizza, tacos, stir fry's, soups, grilled cheese, fish, chicken nuggets, chicken sandwiches

They offer one meal per day at the charter school. I am not sure how much it costs, mine all get free lunch, as does 90-some percent of the school.
At the high school, lunch is $2.50, but Isaac gets free lunch too, he sells it though and gets french fries.

They offer Breakfast and Lunch. The kids eat the lunch only. For Cole and Lyssa, it's 2-2.50. I really can't remember, I just send money everytime they send home a slip saying their acct is getting low.

Emma gets the same lunch as the others but we pay a weekly rate for preschool and lunch is included.

Compared to your schools ~ my kids get lunch cheap. The elementary lunches cost $1.50 and high schools cost $2.50. My kids don't really like to buy though, they don't like the school lunches. Tomorrow is tomato soup and grilled cheese, so they both will buy that. Otherwise, chicken nuggets, nachos, cheeseburgers, etc. They don't actually have a very healthy lunch - although they try to throw in multigrain buns and such. They also no longer serve ice cream or chips at the schools since they are trying to focus on healthy eating. Most days I just pack a lunch for them.

The younger kid's school has a 'tuckshop' its open every friday lunch and they have to put in an order on friday morning to get it.

I have the price list on the fridge,

Summer terms they can choose from:
Chicken and salad/ham and salad/cheese and salad wrap: $2.50
Tub of yoghurt vanilla/strawberry: $1.20
Cheese and crackers: 80 cents
Fruit cup: 80 cents
Rice crackers barbecue/plain: $1.20
Icy pole: 30 cents

In winter terms:
Soup tomato/chicken noodle: $1.20
Toasted sandwich cheese and tomato/ham and cheese/chicken, avocado and cheese/cheese and vegemite: $2
Cheese and crackers: 80 cents
Fruit cup: 80 cents
Rice crackers barbecue/plain: $1.20

Yep, the school is on a health kick, which is great. When Aria and Rhie were there it was all pies and sausage rolls and junk. I much prefer my kids having a cup of soup and a toasted sandwich for lunch then frozen pizza.

Every other day they ahve to pack their own lunch.

The older kid's school has a canteen that is open every recess and lunch and they can line up and buy whatever they want, its a very long list so I wont type it out, but its optional, they can bring their own lunches and as I dont give them lunch money they often make their own at home and buy lunch once or twice a week.
