If you had asked this a week ago, it would be a different answer... Just cleaned it out last Sunday, so right now it's fairly clean except the cargo area ...
Some of the things we found...
Shoes, clothes, Easter candy & eggs (eww stinky), bills, sticker sheet, tools, helmets, phone charger and earpiece, homework, money, spatula, old truck battery, Christmas cards that I thought I had handed out, and LOTS of trash...
Usually everything gets tossed in the cargo area and forgotten about....
Mine is a pigsty, I'll get around to cleaning it eventually. I have 5 bags of black earth in it still, the weather has not been consistently nice enough to start anything for the gardens.
I know I have trash galore in there among other things, and of course tools plus a brake rotor as I need to change the front passenger, but really I need to get another 3 and change all the brake rotors on the van.
Ahhh, thanks KrazE for reminding me I need to do brakes on my van. I know it needs pads all around and at least one new rotor and caliper. Ughhh. You think I could get some help if I was outside, hugely pg and doing my brakes myself......yeah, probably not.
Anyway, its kinda okay right now on the inside, it was cleaned out about 2 weeks ago.

Welcome to the world lil' man!!
Overall at a glance it's not too bad but I know from spending A LOT of time in it chauffeuring dc to and from school that there are some little cookies, fries, potato chips and other assorted gross stuff that dropped between the seats where the vacuum cleaner won't reach. Then the back row has the boys toys and DRAWINGS!!
typically when we clean out our car we fill two trash bags- one for garbage and one for stuff that belongs in the house. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to ban the kids from eating in the car- that's where the most nasty messes come from. The pocket on the back of my seat is pretty much ruined after "somebody" stuff half an apple and a piece of string cheese in there. Who knows how long it was there- freezing then thawing and molding all the while. *gag*
DH works for a small used car dealership and one of his jobs is to detail the cars that are brought in.. he has found some *nasty* stuff... drug paraphanelia, dirty clothes, food. One time he found bones from somebody's bucket of fried chicken just tossed in the backseat floor. Makes me feel better knowing we're not the only nasty ones.
