Do you think that Hollywood movies and violent video games have a bad influence on children?

I think they can if you have an emotionally vulnerable child.

My oldest two sons like all those "action" movies, and Isaac loves war movies. They don't negatively effect his/their behavior.

I do let Isaac play some video games that some may consider violent. He palys war games though, not the real nasty demon games or anything like that.

I don't allow demon anything in my house, that stuff is nothing to play with.

Yes, but I think because adults allow children to watch/play things that aren't intended for them.

Some kids become completely "desensitized" because they've seen to much and weren't taught that it was inappropriate.

Yes, and I think it is harmful for adults too, although perhaps in a lesser way. It's not just our children that are desensitized to violence...

What I have a problem with maybe even more than the violence is how casually sex is portrayed. And nothing ruins a romantic comedy for me like the couple sleeping together within a matter of days (if that).
I think I am more disturbed by it because we don't watch anything overly violent. I don't mind if there's some violence as long as it's pertaining to the story, and not showing all this gore just for the sake of showing it.
But then, I also hate horror movies and anything with vampires in it, I think it glamorizes a dark world that is anything but glamorous and is stuff we just shouldn't be messing with.
I would be really happy if they made some more wholesome movies, or quit ruining good movies with a few scenes that then make it inappropriate for kids to see.

And I think you are affected by what you see, weather conscious or not, you still allow it to enter your brain.
