1%... I compromised.

The kids & I always had skim milk, but my SO couldn't handle it when he tried it with some cereal so we tried 2%... kids were all about it, so 1% it is

The twins drink whole milk, and the rest of the kids drink skim.

I will drink only skim, which is what we usually have in the house but sometimes we get 1%, 2% or whole.

I buy 2% but only use it for cooking or coffee. The only milk I'll drink is from our own goats, whole and raw.

I drink 1% and use that for cooking, DH and James drink whole (my DH is 6' and weighs 135 so he can use the extra calories), and Will drinks rice milk because is is very allergic to cow & goat milk and mildly allergic to soy. So our fridge is full of several types of milk.

We get raw milk from a local dairy - whole, unhomogenized, unpasteurized milk.

I buy 1% for those of us that can drink it, and I get soy milk and almond milk for the ones that can't.

1/2% for everyone but the littlest who drinks whole. DH used to drink whole milk and I've slowly gotten him down to 1/2% but he won't do skim

I drank raw milk growing up, so for 18 years. Now, since it's illegal in our state to buy it, I buy it from the store. We are looking into getting our own milk cow or goat. I can't wait for the good stuff again.

Jennifer, I will have lots of questions for you when we get closer. We'd love to have a goat for milk! We are having a hard time even finding it for sale around here, we'd love to try some before we commit. I guess we'll have to look a little harder.

We also had raw milk when I was growing up but it is illegal to buy it here now also. There is a place in the area that you can get some but you you have to ask them for milk for your "cat" because they can't legally sell it to you for human consumption but the price is higher than at the store and it is out of the way so we haven't gotten any from them but my SIL has before.

Currently we are on skim and 1%. When Andrew turns 1, he'll go to whole milk for a year and then we'll have him on either 1 or 2% the following yr.

I buy 1% for the older kids, lactose free 1% for my 3 year old, and dried buttermilk for my Maltese pups, lol. I don't drink milk.
