I keep them in a drawer and in a wooden knife block. I let my oldest (5) slice apples and things with me watching. The other two don't touch them.

I keep them in a wooden knife block that is now on top of the fridge. I really have to keep a close eye on Izzy because for some reason she is really attracted to them. Anytime I load the dishwasher that is the first thing she goes for.

Knife block right up on the cutting board, it' pushed back about 2' from the edge. No one has ever even attempted to touch them. I don't have any brave kids that climbed the counters at 10 months or anything though either lol.

I have some in a drawer, and some in a block on the counter. My kids wouldn't ever bother them. Except the time Shane wanted to help me cut grapes and picked up the pairing knife. I tried to yank it out of his hand, and he yanked back and caused the blade to slice open my thumb. Eight stitches later, we all learned a valuable lesson.

We have a knife block at the back of our counter. The girls have no interest and Rhett can't reach them. Though as someone else said, the second I open the dishwasher to empty, he's running to get a knife.

in a drawer, but the big kids don't touch them-I do have a big magnet that I keep meaning to screw into the cupboards up high, better do that before the twins get tall enough

Do you have any? yes
Where do you keep them? second drawer down in the kitchen, under silverware
Do your dc get into them? each one has tried once but not again. They know the words "no" and "don't touch" very early

Also missing 11 precious little ones here with us but for a moment.

VERY cautiously expecting after two losses early 2013. Hoping and praying my Valentine's Day due date baby sticks this time.

We have a knife block full of the BIG sharp knives and a smaller knife block full of steak knives (we like steak A LOT)... we had to put them on top of the fridge though because Nicky is a climber and for whatever reason goes straight for the things that could do him the most damage

They are in a drawer, Seth is allowed to use one if I'm in the kitchen also and he's allowed to have his own steak knife if we're having steak, the rest don't mess with them..

We WERE having issues a couple of years ago, and so I stuck the knife block in the cabinet above the stove. (On top of the fridge is a great idea, too!) I'd had it on the counter and some in drawers, but have climbers.

They are 5 and almost 7 now though, and we haven't been having any problems and now most of them are in the drawer. When we get moved, they'll probably go back in the knife block on the counter.

But I need new ones. LOL

right now they are in a drawer but I really feel they need to be moved now that with this house she can get into the kitchen any time she likes.

Ours are in the scullery on the top shelf in a knife block. Only the older kids can reach them and they use them as they can all cook anyway.
