have a tampon/maxi pad phobia?

My dh is so freaked out by them. This weekend we were at walmart and I told him I needed to grab some tampons and he threw a little hissy fit. He kept saying, I was gone for six weeks! You couldn't manage to stock up during any one of those days? (Completely drenched w/ sarcasim of course, that's just how he is.) Anyhow, he wouldn't even walk over to the aisle w/ me so I said forget it!

Now this is the same man that actually BOUGHT maxi pads for me the day after I had Cole! He even asked the lady working for advice. Of course it was past midnight but still. His excuse was that it was different cause I just had a baby and it was more of a medical necessity. Weirdo .

No, my dh grew up with two sisters and raised by his mother. He has no problem with anything "girlie". LOL

DH is fine with it, although he always buys me the worst tampons. I buy OBs and the few times I have had him buy them they had big plastic applicators. Blech.

I barely have had a period all the time we've been together. I can say for a fact in the last 3 years I've only had 1.5 "periods" (one was a few days of spoting when I got the shot) He will buy pads after we have babies though if I ask.

Yeah my dh has a phobia he will stand with me when I buy them but he will not buy them at all, after I had Janessa I needed pads and he went and picked up his grandma so that she could buy them lol. I don't think Thayer has a problem with them, by the time he's out of here he will have had tons of exposure

DH buys whatever I need. He figures it's a necessity and some one has to get them. I normally stock up but on occasion he's had to run for them since I can't. When AF is here, I'm bed ridden for 2 days.

My dh would NEVER buy them (well if it was an emergency) He also wont even walk down the aisle at the store. although he did buy me some breast pads after Ihad the twins. which totally surprised me.

Dh has no problem with them. When people look at him funny he tells them, "It's not like they are for me!" lol

Nope, not my dh. He's a sweetheart about it, probably cause he grew up an only boy of four sisters) and my two teen boys share a bathroom with my 15 yo dd and I have had many periods (and quite a few babies) over the years so it's nothing.

So will go get them for me if I needed them. My two oldest sons....LOL....I doubt I could send them in in an emergency. My 13 year old won't even go in to a store for me and grab milk if he has to pay in change. (weirdo!!!)

My SO is slowly learning.... slowly

My daughter & I keep our stuff out in plain site on the shelving in the bathroom - we shouldn't have to hide it away, it's part of life.
SO won't shop for them though. If he's with my daughter & I and we need to get anything 'girlie' (even if it's just bras or socks or underwear for her), he's gone in a totally different direction while we shop
