I was just curious. Our last little one (Nathan) was born and we didn't have a name for him for 4-5 hours or so. We had a list of about 25 names going into labor and than ended up naming him Nathan, and it wasn't even on the list. This time we have a list of about 10, and am feeling no particular attachment to any of them. I know we will figure it out when the baby is born, but do any of the rest of you do this? Or are we the only strange ones?

Well Sawyer was the only babe that we found out the gender with, and dh and I couldn't agree on his name so none of them were named before they were born, Nathalia went the longest without a name but only a few hours.

Kaycee was going to either be Kaycee or Avery. We were going to decide based on her hair color. No reason why, we just needed something to force us to pick a name. In the end DH just told me to go with my favorite which was Kaycee.
1, 2 and 3 had their first and middle names before they were born (though poor Emma's just kept getting longer and longer, lol!). We didn't find out the gender of #4 but I thought he was a she and had Layla Isabel picked as the name, even called him Layla some. It was a good thing dh and I agreed on Lucas about 3 wks before he was born! #5 was Isabel the moment we found out she was a girl but she didn't have middle name for several hrs after she was born. If we have #6 there's a good chance he/she won't have a name just because dh and I both have 3 boy names left on the list that we love equally and I don't know how we would choose one over the other. And for girls, I love so many that I'd never be able to narrow it down! (The curses of being a baby name addict!)

Saffi was the only one who had a name before birth and we named her somewhere around hour 22 of labor. Boden didnt have a first name until 20 minutes before we left the hospital and no middle name until 3 days after that. Mira, Tessa and Levi I named as soon as I laid eyes on them. Boden went nameless so long because Daddy was being a PITA and kept telling me he wasnt sure about Boden. I won in the end
