Being with one, yes I do, and yes he has. Maybe not become fluent but atleast have a knoledge to live you life, if that makes sense./ Juan's 1st language is Spanish and when he came here hes learned English hes not fluent but he can get his point across. Just like if I were to mover permantly somewhere with another language I would leanr it.

Seems to make sense to me.

I know of this one lady that's lived here in Canada for something like 40 years and can't speak english. I would hate to have to depend on others like that.

Yes I think they should. I know some of the Hmong that moved here in their older years TRY, but aren't the best at speaking english still. It's easier on kids who move here in elementary school or something I bet.

Yes, at least this much....

If I moved to a country that wasn't English speaking, I would at least learn enough to get by and live my life with...
